Shirley got news of her nomination for the 2007 East Coast Music Award,
for " Country Recording of the Year ".

Shirley performed at the CCMA showcase to a big number of country fans.
Although being sick with the flu, it was one of the best experiences she ever had
being among the top
canadian artists and industry people. She got the chance to meet such people
as songwriters, Gilles Godard, Willie Mack, and Tim Nichols, who were among
the writers on her album.
